Support

Write to chopsmith@ekinbariscakir.com. There are no accounts, so tell us your iPhone model and iOS version, and what you were doing when the problem happened. We reply within a few days.

Subscription

  • Restore purchase: Settings → Restore purchase. Use the same Apple ID you bought Chopsmith Pro with.
  • Cancel or change your plan: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Chopsmith. Apple handles billing, renewals and refunds; refunds are requested at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Ending Pro: cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends and you won't be charged again. Pieces you saved to My pieces stay on your phone.

Microphone

  • The tuner and the timing check use the microphone. The sound is processed on your phone and never recorded or sent anywhere.
  • Turn it on: iPhone Settings → Apps → Chopsmith → Microphone (on iOS 17 and earlier: iPhone Settings → Chopsmith → Microphone).
  • If the tuner doesn't react, check that no other app is using the microphone, and play closer to the phone.

Daily reminder

  • Turn it on: in Chopsmith, Settings → Daily reminder, then pick the time under "Remind me at".
  • If iOS asked and you said no: iPhone Settings → Apps → Chopsmith → Notifications → Allow Notifications (on iOS 17 and earlier: iPhone Settings → Chopsmith → Notifications). Then turn on Daily reminder in Chopsmith again.
  • The reminder is scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent to us for it.

Your data

  • Practice data: your Clean Tempos, Routines, settings and My pieces stay on your phone. Deleting the app deletes them.
  • Usage statistics and crash reports: only with your permission, asked separately the first time you open Chopsmith. Settings → Usage statistics and Settings → Crash reports turn each one on or off at any time. Optional feedback surveys are sent without any ID.
  • Delete my data: Settings → Delete my data deletes the usage statistics and crash reports sent from your phone, and the app continues under a new random ID. If it can't reach our server, it offers to email us your ID instead. Feedback answers aren't linked to you, so they can't be deleted one by one.
  • Anything else: email us. See the Privacy Policy.
